Project

Azuma travelled to Belém, near the mouth of the Amazon, with a botanist acquaintance, in order to take photographs in the region.
Anticipating a mysterious world opening up to him, Azuma was interested in learning about unknown flowers and their ecologies, and was keen to experience them in person. The project served as a turning point in his desire to explore plant life and flowers in particular at a deeper level.

東は、知人の植物学者とともに、アマゾンの河口に近いベレンを訪れて、写真を撮影した。
東はアマゾンに神秘的な世界が広がっていることを予感しており、未知の花やその生態を知り、実際に体験したいと考えていた。このプロジェクトは、東が植物、特に花について、より深く探求するきっかけとなった。
