This botanical sculpture was created as part of a project led by Azuma, involving high-school horticulture students from Fukushima.
Incorporating around a hundred different types of flower, the work used a disused fountain at the school's entrance as its base. Taking the shape of a chrysalis, the sculpture was designed by Kanke Ayumi, then a pupil at the school. This was Azuma's first permanent botanical sculpture.
この作品は、東が中心となり、福島の農業高校の生徒たちと共に制作された。
この作品は、学校の正門前にある使われなくなった噴水をベースにしており、約100種類の花を組み合わせて制作された。作品は「さなぎ」をモチーフにしており、当時同校の生徒であった鮎幹恵によってデザインされた。これは東にとって初の常設展示作品である。
